Victoria Binners' Needs AssessmentIn 2019, Binners' Project in partnership with Victoria Foundation, the City of Victoria, and Our Place Society conducted a 4 month Needs Assessment to learn more about the most pressing needs that recyclers have. This was a grassroots, action-focused assessment encompassing small-scale testing.

BC Plastics Action Plan SubmissonIn 2019, the BC Government released a public consultation to tackle the problem of plastics. Some of the proposed actions included raising the deposit/refund on all beverage containers to 10 cents, including milk product containers.

Binners' Project's First Fundraiser
Binners' Project's first fundraiser was held at HCMA Architecture + Design's office in November of 2018. With the support of over 100 partners, we raised over $40,000 in one evening!

How does Binners' Project change lives?Davin Boutang started with Binners' Project as a volunteer binner in 2015 and became more involved over the years and now is our Programs Manager.
