EVENT WASTE SORTING & EDUCATION

We increase waste diversion at events while creating meaningful opportunities for binners.

There is a growing demand from the public and the City for events to be socially inclusive, rooted in their communities and geared towards waste reduction.

Binners’ Project provided waste education and sorting at public events for a total 97 days in 2024, providing over 2,707 hours of economic opportunities for binners at events in the city.

We have hired Binners' Project for many years to support our annual Powell Street Festival at Oppenheimer Park and the surrounding area. Each year, the Binners' Project team provides outstanding support by helping attendees properly sort their waste and educating the public on responsible waste management. Their staff are consistently hardworking, dedicated, and take their role seriously. We truly appreciate the Binners' Project crew and look forward to welcoming them back next year!
